Job Description

AAA Growers is one of the leading exporters of premium & prepared vegetables from Kenya and the largest commercial grower and exporter of chillies from Kenya. We aim to provide quality products which redefine what innovative, healthy and delicious vegetables should be. AAA Roses (Forest Gate (EPZ) Ltd.) entered the floriculture industry in 2011 and in 2012 began exporting roses to the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, the Middle East and other markets. In a relatively short time AAA Roses built its strong name in the Kenyan flower industry mainly due to high quality products, modern facilities and commitment and dedication of our professional team.

Summary

As a Farm Manager Chestnut Roses, you are overall responsible for the running of one of the rose production locations within the AAA Roses division. This means running the day to day operations. Also, we expect you to develop strategic goals to further the growth and increase the profits of Chestnut Roses as a location within the AAA Roses division. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations; accountable for ensuring we make the daily production targets as agreed within the AAA Roses Division.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth; think about future challenges and actions we need to take to overcome them to further grow revenue or profits.
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses, make sure we stay within the budgets that have been agreed with the AAA Roses Division.
  • Set policies and processes, ensure all processes are captured in policies and processes for all employees to access. Ensure we adjust procedures and policies are updated according to new developments.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally. Employees are our biggest asset. Together with your team you are responsible to ensure that staff engagement and satisfaction is maintained.

Your profile

  • Graduate in Horticulture, Floriculture or Agriculture
  • 7-10 years’ experience in a farm of the same capacity
  • Excellent leadership skills and management skills
  • Analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and team player facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly with Excel
