Fast Credit Supervisor- Kegonga, Migori

  • The Finance Accelerating Savings for Transformation (FAST) product is designed to specifically address the financial requirements of Savings for Transformation groups in Kenya. Its primary objective is to ensure these groups possess ample loan capital, enabling them to engage in mutual lending and foster exponential growth within their community.   Reports to: Relationship Manager and strategically to the FAST Product Manager.

Specific areas of responsibility: 

  • Implement the FAST project and mentor Field Officers toward achieving the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Objectives.
  • Conduct Group verification tests and ensure set targets in the following parameters; High standards of Customer Service, Customer Retention, trackable Service impact, and quality Loan Portfolio are achieved.
  • Work with World Vision Kenya and other like-minded partners for effective business and impact through the FAST product Manager.
  • Effectively train groups and the community to understand the FAST product.
  • Build the capacity of the Field Officers effectively ensuring that fidelity to the program is upheld and they have the requisite skills to carry out the functions effectively.
  • Ensure FOs’ productivity is maintained through support, mentorship, and efficient TAT for customer queries.
  • Working closely with S4T Agents, Community stakeholders, AP Managers, Relationship Manager, FAST product Manager and local authorities for success of the project.
  • Implement FAST project policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Evaluate the existing staff in accordance with management decisions/directions.
  • Ensures that Field Officers (FO) maintain very high morale, and identifies capacity building /training needs.
  • Undertakes regular performance assessments for Field Officers.
  • Submits FOs performance reports to the Relationship Manager and the Product Manager.
  • problem-solving ability, and works together on overlapping tasks.
  • Communicate to FOs on organizational changes.
  • Plans and initiates promotional measures within the target location
  • Implements customer-centric approaches through the field officers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS   

  • The ideal candidate MUST possess a University Degree/Diploma in Economics/Accounting/ project management, Business Administration/Management/Banking/Marketing/ Cooperative/Agricultural Economics/Agriculture or related social sciences and business fields. Candidate should be ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization’s Ideals and Core Values.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Microfinance Institution.
  • Experience in S4T-Savings for Transformation is an added advantage
  • Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective Underwriting skills
  • Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, credit sales oriented and coach.
  • Very good communication, sales, and market assessment skills.
