Field Engineer – Wireline

Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for interfacing with the customer, internal teams, regions, and functions to integrate, develop and execute from handover to installation and services including proactive management through life of field.
  • Integrate the customer and BH organization and lead from the front (product lines, functions, regions, commercial) to successfully execute customer commitments on time and within budget.
  • Build strong long-term relationships with customers in the region.
  • Lead the project teams to effectively execute using project routines including integrated planning.
  • Be the single point of ownership for BH and customer for wing-to-wing execution. This includes ensuring all teams understand contractual commitments prior to start of execution and through project reviews & audits manage cost, delivery, and quality control through execution.
  • Owner of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial targets including Revenue, Contribution Margin (CM), Cash, Past Dues and Op. Margin (OM) while supporting Sales for customers in the region.
  • Responsible for managing the commercial execution operating rhythms e.g., Project Margin Reviews (PMRs) and QMIs to review the financial performance of the contract(s) including cost review, invoicing, cash collection, claims, contract changes, and margin enhancement with matrix execution teams.
  • Drive utilization & reallocation of resources in country be aligned to the S&OP process.​
  • Escalate commercial issues & other execution risks that could affect our ability to honor our commitments to our Customers and to our shareholders.
  • Partner with the customers, sales/commercial and region to help develop and execute strategies for growing the Services & Offshore offerings, sales, and profitability.
  • Participate in the project handover by the ITO team as per Baker Hughes SP&S ITO-OTR procedures, making sure the project teams have locked in all contractual, technical, and operational requirements of the project.
  • Provide coaching, encouragement, motivation, and development to project team to ensure development of strong talent pool and robust succession planning in region for customer.
  • Promote and own a working environment to achieve excellence in HSE, Quality, Compliance, Customer Service & Productivity.
  • Be accountable for: HSE, OTD, Cash, Margins, reducing Non-productive time (NPT) and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Manage the allocation of personnel for the safe and timely execution of production enhancement projects.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or technical college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading operations in oil & gas industry upstream sector i.e. subsea equipment refurbishment & repairs, subsea drilling, subsea installations, subsea completions, surface pressure control systems operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading oil & gas upstream services business units or departments on which candidate was accountable for service delivery and profitability.
  • Project management experience in oil & gas upstream or adjacent industries.
  • Focused on operational excellence – HSE & Quality as priorities for delivering services to customers.
  • Possess strong communication skills with a close working relationship with the Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams.
  • Have proven ability to communicate with external stakeholders in order deliver projects to our customers.
  • Capability to work in simultaneous offshore operations understanding customer’s needs and criticality.
  • Ability to leverage knowledge of customers operational needs to identify opportunities for new services to be provided to the customers.​
