Job Description

Username Investment Limited is the leading Kenyan based real-estate development and Investment Company. We desire to provide the current and upcoming generations with a place they can call home.

Summary

Username is a leading real estate company based in Nairobi. The company seeks to recruit a Self-Driven and Enthusiastic Finance Collections Officer. The Role reports to the Finance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect outstanding debts from clients and achieve collection targets to ensure positive cash flow.
  • Maintain debtor’s book to ensure that the debt status is accurate and latest.
  • Develop reports on aged debt accounts and days sales outstanding (DSO) reports.
  • Monitor slow-moving accounts to identify delinquent debts and take necessary action to recover the debts.
  • Review collection queue to perform collection activities accordingly.
  • Close a specific number of collection accounts each month.
  • Target and maintaining a high level of customer retention.
  • Contact debtors and implement repayment schedules and terms.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of company and customer information.
  • Attend training programs for professional growth and skill development.
  • Follow up on invoices submitted to ensure prompt and timely payment.
  • Evaluate the correctness of payments/denials received and ensures that they are applied appropriately.
  • Identify bad debt and A/R adjustments in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a closely related field.
  • At least CPA part 2 qualification
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a busy credit control department
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Proven ability to make complex and time-sensitive decisions in the best interests of the organization
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work alone with minimum supervision
  • High level of integrity, resilient and energetic individual
  • Real estate industry experience is an added advantage

Salary Scale : Kshs. 50,000 – Kshs. 60,000 depending on experience & qualifications
