Summary

Our client, a retail company with a unique business model centered around providing clean and affordable drinking water solutions to communities, is seeking to recruit a Financial Planning Lead to be based in their Rwanda Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and strategic financial planning while maintaining a strong financial control environment. The ideal candidate Must have over 8 years experiences in Financial Analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Group Financial Planning Manager to develop and manage forward-looking financial planning processes at the OPCO level.
  • Assist in the creation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial plans and forecasts for your OPCO.
  • Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to establish and maintain a robust financial control environment at the OPCO level.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities specific to your OPCO.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of local financial reports, including assisting Group Financial Control to collate management accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with local taxation and regulatory requirements in your OPCO. Stay current with changes in local tax laws and regulations.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial controls and procedures specific to your OPCO.
  • Identify areas where controls can be strengthened or improved.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting
  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience.
  • Certified Public Accounting or equivalent.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize.
  • Able to act independently and take responsibility.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to connect dots across a large organization.
  • Ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Sound integrity.
