Job Purpose

  • The Finished Product Inspector is responsible for inspecting finished ceramic tiles before dispatch to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. The role involves verifying product identification, inspecting packaging, conducting dimensional and visual quality checks, and ensuring only conforming products are released for storage or shipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect the exterior of product packaging to ensure it is free from damage and that all printed information, labels, and codes are clear, accurate, and legible.
  • Verify that the product model, SAP code, color code, and other product identification details on the packaging correspond with the actual product inside.

  • Conduct dimensional inspections by measuring tile length, width, thickness, squareness, and flatness using approved measuring instruments.
  • Perform quality tests, including stain resistance and color consistency inspections, while checking mold orientation and bottom markings for compliance with specifications.
  • Inspect tile surfaces for defects such as cracks, chips, scratches, pinholes, glaze defects, warping, contamination, and other visual imperfections.

Qualifications

  • Additional training in Quality Control or Quality Assurance is an added advantage.

Experience
