Vihiga County whose headquarters is in Mbale is Located in the Western Region of Kenya. It boarders Nandi to the East, Kisumu County to the South, Siaya County to the West and KAKAMEGA County to the North. It is one of the four Counties in the former Western Province. Vihiga County has five Constituencies; Luanda, Emuhaya, Hamisi, Sabatia and Vihiga. The County’s population stands at 612,000.

Duties and responsibilities

• Monitor fuel consumption and implement measures to reduce fuel costs;
• Track fuel usage patterns, identify inefficiencies, and implement measures to optimize fuel efficiency;
• Regularly analyze fuel costs and generate reports for management review;
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce overall fuel expenditures;
• Utilize technology to monitor real-time fuel consumption, identify anomalies, and address issues promptly;
•  Analyze historical fuel data to forecast future fuel needs,

Requirements for Appointment

• Certificate in Transport and Logistics or a related field from a recognized institution;
• Strong analytical and problem – solving skills,
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
