Job Description

Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is a global management consulting firm that helps people make significant improvements to their business performance and realize their most important career goals.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaison Duties:

  • Act as the primary contact between the company’s Transport Manager and outsourced workshop attendants.
  • Communicate effectively with both parties to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Supervise workshop staff, including mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Truck Inspections and Reporting:

  • Ensure that every truck passing through the garage is inspected daily upon return from sales trips.
  • Report any instances of gross mishandling or significant issues found during inspections to the Manager Logistics.
  • Coordinate with workshop mechanics to address and rectify any issues identified during truck inspections.

Job Card Coordination:

  • Collect from driver and oversee the distribution of job cards to workshop mechanics for maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitor the progress of job cards to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Maintenance and Services:

  • Inspect services and maintenance work performed on trucks to ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Verify that all work is completed to the required specifications and standards.

Safety and Health Compliance:

  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment within the workshop for all personnel.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Records and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of parts usage, truck servicing, and maintenance activities.
  • Report any abnormal use of parts or discrepancies in inventory to the Transport Manager.
  • Account for all old parts removed from trucks and ensure that new spare parts dispatched from the store are properly utilized and recorded.
  • Ensure all invoices are verified and processed.

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure that all spare parts are accounted for and properly utilized.
  • Track the movement and usage of parts to prevent wastage and ensure efficient inventory management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a workshop or fleet management role, preferably with a background in coordinating with outsourced service providers.
  • Strong understanding of truck maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations related to workshop environments.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting.

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in automotive repair or fleet management preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
