Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus:
• Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
• Setting and marking examination/assignment:
• Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer:
• Supervising trainees’ projects and practical work:
• Preparing training documents;
• Participating in development and review of curricula;
• Participating in development of training manuals;
• Setting, moderating and marking examinations:
• Participate in trainee practical assessments: and
• Performing any other function that is incidental or consequential to the functions of the department.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate should have: –

• Bachelor Degree/Higher National Diploma in Food and Beverage or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Be licensed by TVET Authority or meet the requirement for licensing by TVETA
• Be a member of a relevant professional body, where applicable.
• Have at least two (2) years of working experience from a recognized institution.
