Job Description

Bamboo Capital Partners is a commercial private equity firm making investments that matter. It finds game-changing businesses then applies a mix of geographical and sector expertise to deliver financial and social returns.

Responsibilities:

As part of his/her responsibilities, the Fund Manager will be in charge of the following:

  • Supervise and closely monitor the operational workflow on the fund, from pipeline development to fund administration and investor reporting, demonstrating ownership and holding teams, counterparties and service providers accountable on quality of service and timely delivery;
  • Lead the investment team to review and develop investment decisions, including performing detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis and preparing written investment recommendations;
  • Source, screen and appraise investment opportunities;
  • Perform in-depth analysis of identified companies and projects (financial, business, strategic, and related socio-economic impacts) recommendations for the Fund’s Risk and Investment Committees;
  • Lead negotiations up to closing;
  • Lead the due diligence work of investment managers in our various locations;
  • Follow-up and monitor investments until repayments/exits;
  • Serve on the board of portfolio companies and monitor investments during their entire holding period;
  • Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with clients, co-investors and partners;
  • Work with the impact performance team to include the appropriate monitoring and reporting across investment portfolios of the firm;
  • Generate new leads and business development opportunities for the company and contribute to their effective realization;
  • Take part in fundraising efforts and investors’ due diligence, whenever needed;
  • Contribute to HR recruiting process by interviewing candidates on ad hoc basis;
  • Support group’s business development by introducing leads for fundraising;
  • Enhance the visibility, credibility, and stature of Bamboo in the impact investing sector by authoring thought leadership pieces (e.g. articles, case studies, reports, or blogs, as relevant/appropriate) and speaking at industry conferences and other events;
  • Participate to the following Committees: Investment Committee, Risk Committee, Impact, Steering Committee, Valuation Steering Committee;
  • Follow BCP’s procedures and policies.

Profile:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience working in a similar position;
  • High level of self-organization, ability to adapt to working style as required;
  • High level of understanding of the Impact Investing space;
  • High level of understanding of the Emerging / Developing economies;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
