Job Purpose:

To develop, maintain, and enhance the Kijiji Resort Garden. They will also contribute to enhancing the overall Resort’s team performance in a well-maintained environment and all of Kijiji’s visitor-experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and cleaning of the loading area zone, resort main entrance and around the house all the times.
• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
• Maintain Resort Fence and water trenches making sure the fences are always trimmed and trenches always open to avoid blockages.
• Maintain lawn and grass areas using machinery, natural fertilizers but no chemicals.
• Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation and planting of the Resorts Farm.
• Maximum utilization of Resorts Farm through planting of variety crops, crop rotation, pest control and soil enriching.
• Add to the general profits of the resort business through sales of vegetables and fruits from the Resorts farm.
• Outside maintenance including pathways, steps, walls etc.
• Assist other members of the team and other departments to provide the greatest productivity of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• At least an artisan certificate in Agriculture, Landscaping, or related course from a recognized registered institution
• 1- year relevant experience.
• Passion for the role.
