Job Description

Fanisi is a HR consulting and management company that guides enterprises in setting up management and development of their workforce. We support Small and Medium Enterprises to excel in improving the people component of their businesses and organizations by building human capital through developing employee related policies and practices, staff training and development, incentive programs, talent acquisition and retention.Salary RangeKSh 150,000 – KSh 200,000/month

Summary

CeraMaji supplies safe, reliable access to clean drinking water for all Kenyans and across East Africa through ceramic water filter technology in a sustainable manner.  CeraMaji aims to create products that positively impact the lives of our customers and the environment while also creating livelihoods through our community-based distribution models. They seek to empower Kenyans to improve their health and that of their families, both through improved health and economic opportunities.

They seek to hire a General Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing, business operations, sales, and all associated work to ensure the successful scaling and distribution of CeraMaji products and entrepreneurship training.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

  1. Participate in strategic planning, goal setting, innovation, and business.
  2. Oversee the implementation and scaling of CeraMaji products and distribution models across Kenya.
  3. Oversee and manage the CeraMaji factory, including all operations at the site.
  4. Contribute to sourcing, maintenance, and storing of raw materials and equipment for filter manufacturing.
  5. Develop a sales strategy, overall in charge of the sales manager and team.
  6. Manage, facilitate, and onboard strategic partnerships.
  7. Oversee Kenyan communications and operations.
  8. Manage entrepreneurs, customers and partners accordingly.
  9. Manage costs and revenue, including assisting and spearheading funding opportunities.
  10. Assist in maintaining website and other social media platforms.
  11. Represent the organization nationally and internationally
  12. Continuously develop and improve the training materials and models.
  13. Oversee the initial business operations and entrepreneurial workshops in KIMSSEA
  14. Support fundraising, marketing, advertising, and sales efforts.
  15. Supervise the training of future franchisee entrepreneurs and community managers.

Required Specifications: 

  1. At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  2. Minimum of a degree in business, management, or a similar field.
  3. An excellent understanding of technology and manufacturing processes.
  4. Strong communicator- Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
  5. Has computer proficiency and skilled in productivity software (word processing, presentation, spreadsheets, digital calendars, social media management, data entry, instant messaging)
  6. Strong business and entrepreneurial acumen and mindset
  7. Vision for transforming communities.
