Global Learning & Development Manager

Position summary:
The Rainforest Alliance is looking for an experienced Learning & Development manager with a global scope and international experience to join the HR team.
The candidate is responsible for creating and delivering an organizational learning strategy that supports the development of employees across the globe in alignment with our organizational goals. This role is key to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring that our staff are equipped with the right skills and knowledge, both for current and future challenges. The L&D manager will work closely with the Senior People Business Partners and senior manager Organizational Effectiveness to identify which capability and skills need L&D focus. The candidate will assess development needs, design learning solutions/journeys (leveraging our LinkedIn learning platform) and implement initiatives that enhance individual and organizational performance. We are looking for an individual that is hands-on and dares to think big as well: what should a learning environment look like for an organization that wants to scale.
The HR team at Rainforest Alliance you will be part of consists of HR professionals who are passionate for RA’s mission and dedicated to creating a great place to work for all our colleagues.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an L&D strategy that align with the organization’s strategic direction;
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs through close collaboration with senior people business partners and senior manager organizational effectiveness;
  • Design, manage and deliver learning initiatives that support career development, leadership and technical competencies;
  • Lead the creation of global learning journeys that supports various learning styles and is accessible to a diverse, global workforce;
  • Design and implement leadership development programs aimed at building strong leaders across the organization;
  • Lead the selection, implementation and management of the organization’s LMS;
  • Customize the LMS to fit the organization’s unique needs, ensuring it effectively tracks and manages employee learning and development;
  • Manage user access, course enrolments, and ensure content is regularly updated and relevant;
  • Promote a learning culture by encouraging knowledge-sharing, feedback and ongoing development at all levels;
  • Work closely with HR colleagues, senior management to ensure L&D initiatives are well-integrated with overall HR strategy;
  • Build relationships with external providers, training consultants, and academic institutions to bring innovative learning opportunities to the organization;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in learning & development or a similar HR role;
  • Strong experience in e-learning platforms, LMS and facilitation techniques. Learning & Development certifications is highly desirable;
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to oversee multiple programs simultaneously;
  • Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions;
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization;
  • Several years of experience in working in an international environment and cross-cultural competency and ability to adapt learning solutions for a diverse global workforce;
  • High level of integrity and professionalism;
  • Must be pro-active, creative, self-driven and able to work collaboratively;
  • Be hands-on whenever there is a need to drive project results;
  • Fluency in English (and other languages are a plus);
  • Ability to travel.
