About the Role

• You will ensure seeds delivered to our farmers meet quality standards by conducting seeds quality testing.
• You will join the Seed Team in the Global Supply Chain Team.
• You will directly report to Senior Seed Supply Chain Coordinator.
• You will manage one Junior Laboratory Technician.

Responsibilities

• Seed Laboratory Management.
• Ensure quality in procured and recertificated seeds.
• Maintain external and internal relationships.
• Any other duties whenever called upon.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

• Agronomy or Crop Science educational background
• At least 2 years of experience in Seed Quality Testing technology.
• Basic knowledge of seed processing, quality control, country standards and industry understanding. Understanding of the Southern and East Africa seed systems
• Strong stakeholder management and communication
• Proficiency in Google Suite, to include MS Excel  for inventory management, and seed quality reporting
• Preferred certified and gazetted KEPHIS technician
