Job Details

  • Understand the technologies in use at the company and provide recommendations on measures to be taken to increase operational efficiencies.
  • Develop dashboards to monitor performance metrics and parameters; measure and resource use and allocation across the company.
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Service Request, Incident and Problem Management
  • Implement centralized device management through an ITSM tool
  • Vendor management for IT hardware and software
  • Train staff on the use of computer systems and applications and other technological solutions in use or for future use at the company.
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology and offer recommendations on how the company can adopt new technologies to competitive advantages in the sectors in which it works.
  • support the roll-out of new applications
  • set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Carry out user management throughout the user lifecycle
  • Deliver across the entire Web/App lifecycle starting from conception, design, build, deployment, test and release to app stores and support
  • Provide technological support to the web design and development teams.
  • Design, develop and implement IT policies.
  • Any other task assigned to you by management.

Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science or a similar relevant field
  • Knowledge of programing languages such as Python and scripting languages such as Java Script and HTML

Relevant Experience

  • Three (3) years experience in maintaining IT systems in a challenging work environment experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in ERP administration (Zoho would be an added advantage)
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of analytics engines to develop dashboards to draw insights
  • Experience in the use of ITSM tools to manage technology assets. Certification in ITIL or COBIT would be an added advantage
