Job Description

We are a food catering company, cooking for all types of events, including weddings, “before the wedding” functions, parties, conferences, corporate and office functions, birthday parties, launches, to name a few. Let your event be Simply Divine!

Head Chef

  • We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations, delivering exceptional food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Culinary Leadership: Direct all aspects of food preparation and ensure high-quality dishes. Multi-Unit Oversight: Provide operational guidance for various culinary units
  • Menu & Event Innovation: Create unique menu items, develop new recipes, and collaborate with the Operations Manager to tailor offerings for clients and events.
  • Operational Management: Lead a diverse team including Sous Chefs, Cooks, and trainees.
  • Reporting & Strategy: Submit regular reports on culinary operations and performance to the General Manager.
  • Quality Control: Develop and monitor SOPs for all kitchen units to ensure consistent quality and profitability.
  • Safety & Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health department regulations.
  • Team Development: Design and coordinate training programs to enhance team performance. Resource Management: Oversee kitchen inventory, and coordinate with purchasing to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or Hospitality Management from a recognized institution.
  • Additional training or certification in Food Safety and Hygiene is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple units and teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Deep knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs.
  • Passion for culinary excellence, creativity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and during events.
