Job Summary

The job holder will be responsible for growing the Taifa Pension portfolio, market share, revenues, and enhancing pension contribution collections within the entire Kenyan market. This involves marketing campaigns aimed at attracting and retaining members by providing quality and positive customer experiences. The role also includes developing strategies for onboarding non-county government institutions into the scheme.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a database for all potential institutions (Non-County Related institutions);
  • Create onboarding strategies for potential clients to grow the Taifa pension scheme portfolio;
  • Develop workplans and strategy implementation matrices for Taifa pension scheme;
  • Responsible for developing technical tender documents for business growth.
  • Drive the implementation of CPF’s corporate strategy related to Taifa Pension;
  • Develop and oversee marketing strategies for business growth;
  • Manage sales targets and ensure adherence to internal processes and regulatory requirements;
  • Design initiatives to increase the value of current customers and attract new ones;
  • Implement strategies for collecting outstanding and current pension contributions;
  • Develop strategies to align products and services with customer needs.
  • Lead the preparation of the Division budget;
  • Ensure staff are familiar with Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Combatting the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations;
  • Oversee the implementation of CPF Pension’s Administration Policies;
  • Develop financial reports for submission to the Senior Group Executive Director;
  • Review and oversee the preparation of regular reports to clients, trustees, and RBA;
  • Spearhead the rolling out of Taifa Pension in Kenya and ensure adequate staffing;
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Division team;
  • Collaborate with Regional Coordinators and Branch Managers;
  • Manage operational risks to avoid service interruptions;
  • Promote knowledge of Taifa Pension scheme and CPF group products;
  • Promote coaching and mentorship for succession planning;
  • Coordinate staff training on CPF products;
  • Evaluate the success of member statement distribution;
  • Coordinate periodic staff performance reviews;
  • Perform any other duties as advised.

Requirements for appointment:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Research, Statistics, or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a relevant field from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with 4 years in a managerial role in a similar organization or busy function.
