Job Description

Superior and unrivalled support for our LPG customers. This covers areas of installations and conversions, safety audits on your premises, bespoke LPG solutions to fit your requirements and give best value, maintenance and support to ensure all runs smoothly

Must have skills

  • Risk assessment
  • OSH and environmental auditing and inspection
  • Hazard identification and control.
  • Problem-Solving skills.
  • Training skills

Qualifications

  • At least Post graduate diploma education in an Engineering field, Public Health, Environmental Science or related.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the HSE field.
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of safety systems of work-PTW, JSA, Confined space safety, WaH safety, LOTO among others.
  • Familiarity with company Policies and ISO Standards. Legislation such as OSHA 2007, EMCA 1999, ISO Standards 9001, 14001 and 45001 is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of accident and incidents investigation, identifying root cause and using hierarchy of control to propose corrective action.

Job role

  • Assists in the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
  • Monitors compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the organization.
  • Deliver training programs and awareness campaigns related to ESG/HSE.
  • In collaboration with the HSE manager and the HSE Assistant, the HSE Officer assists in investigating incidents, accidents, or near-misses that occur within the organization.
  • Report and record ESG related incidents. They include environment, safety, social and governance incidents relating to environment pollution, worker injury, ethical and staff related social issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety risks and hazards within the operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans for the LPG manufacturing processes.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to HSE activities, including policies, procedures, training records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure entrenchment of HSE culture among the workers.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the HSE program
