Job Description

The Nairobi Women’s Hospital is a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. The hospital was founded in 2001 by Dr. Sam Thenya and is the first of its kind in the East and Central Africa region. Even if it specialised in Obstetrics and Gynecology services, the hospital is equipped and staffed to handle all general medical and surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all activities at the hospital branch to deliver quality health care and business objectives.
  • Plan, execute and review the Hospital operations plan and ensure alignment to the strategic and business goals.
  • Drive achievement of the Hospital revenue and costs targets
  • Provide leadership and ensure employee alignment, development, engagement and performance management to deliver departmental objectives and goals.
  • Regularly review patient journey within the hospital to ensure seamless transitions across different service points.
  • Drive implementation of established company standards, polices, systems, procedures and controls ensuring they are uniformly understood, implemented and adhered to for efficiency and accountability in the delivery of highest quality medical care services.
  • Lead in marketing activities and create awareness of the services in the unit.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position should have:

  • Bachelors Degree in a health-related field or a business-related field such as Finance, Operations
  • Masters degree in either Healthcare Management/ Public Health or Business Administration
  • Training in leadership and quality management
  • At least 8 years cumulative work experience with at least 5 years experience in a managerial role with a health-related business.
  • Demonstrated high level of business acumen and a -can-do attitude
  • Ability to deliver results through teams
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Excellent analytical skills
