Job Description

Braeburn Schools is a group of 16 co-educational international schools spread over 9 campuses providing world class teaching of the British National Curriculum and GCE A-Levels to over 3,600 pupils.

Role Summary:

Reporting directly to the Executive Principal, the Human Resource Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resource function within the school This includes implementing HR strategies, overseeing recruitment and staffing, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws, collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and driving HR initiatives The HR Manager plays a critical role in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, aligning HR practices with the school’s goals and supporting both management and employees in HR related matters

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures and employee handbook
  • Provide guidance and support to management and staff on HR related matters
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture and that aligns with the school values and objectives Ensure compliance with HR Policies, CBA, labour laws and regulations
  • Manage employee relations including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and performance management
  • Oversee the recruitment process including job postings, interview and onboarding of local and international employees

Requirements

Key skills and competencies:

  • Good knowledge of labour laws and regulations
  • Basic understanding of Expatriate Management and documentation
  • Experience in and knowledge in management of all HR Expertise areas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels
  • Good ICT skills and Internet use
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization and time-management abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Have strong ethics and reliable, self-motivated and able to self-guide and work under minimum supervision
  • Maintains confidentiality and diplomacy

Qualifications and training required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Registered member with IHRM
  • A minimum of 4 – 5 years of experience in human resources
