Position: Human Resource Manager

Reports to: The CEO and Directors

Job Summary

Human Resource Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the Human Resource functions of an organization. He / She will oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consult with top executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between the management and its employees.

Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Maintain personnel files system with built-in measures to ensure the safety and security of these confidential records to protect the privacy of staff members.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all members of staff, and contacts both within and outside the company.
  • Promote diversity, integrity and respect in the workplace.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Support the entire recruitment and selection process.
  • Implement best in class HR practicesand policies that comply with labour regulations.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Participate in the company’s planning process cycle and playing a critical role in determining the staffing requirements and structures.
  • Maintain constant dialogue with the management to deal with salary reviews and other issues linked to staff costs, entitlements and benefits.
  • Advise and communicate to all staff on Human Resources policies and practices and provide direction and coherence to all HR activities and systems of the organisation.
  • Monitor staff/management issues and support/advise management and staff as appropriate to improve and resolve the issues. Provide administrative support to the staff-management bodies in the capacity of HR focal point in the office
  • Provide direction and advice on interpretation and application of policies, staff regulations and rules.
  • Ensure all staff are working in a safe and healthy working environment; ensure all staff strictly observe the company’s Health and Safety regulations and in particular the protocol with respect to fire outbreaks and/or other emergencies.
  • Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance purposes. Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and act as a Safety Director.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by the C.E.O and Directors.
