Job Description

Premier Hospital is an 82 bed specialized hospital located in Nyali, Mombasa offering high quality emergency, outpatient and inpatient care. Human Resource Officer

The HR Officer is responsible for Assisting with Day-to-Day operations of the Human Resource Department through formulation, implementation, education, monitoring, reporting and custody of policies, procedures, documents and best practices.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of employee relations measures across the Hospital by providing guidance and interpretation of HR policies to line managers.
  • Analyze recruitment needs using the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures.
  • Participate in the selection of candidates including long listing and short listing of candidates while ensuring gender balance and diversity.
  • Conducting new employee orientation program and other educational and training programs.
  • Ensure compilation of all the payroll changes are done in a correct and timely manner.
  • Receive, verify and compile all the locums provided by the heads of departments.
  • Leave Management – Proper adherence to Leave Management Policy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource/ Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Registration with Institute of Human Resource Management
  • At least 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in Healthcare sector is preferred.
