About LED Power Technologies East Africa’s Leading Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, CCTV, IT Systems, and Lighting Contractor LED Power Technologies (EA) K Ltd – Circle Icon Founded in 2013 in Nairobi, Kenya, LED POWER TECHNOLOGIES (EA) K LIMITED set its foot as a Specialized Electrical, Mechanical & Solar PV Systems supplier and engineering services/Works Contractor.

Summary

We are currently offering a chance for a successful candidate to apply and secure the HVAC Projects Lead role for our HVAC/Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Works. Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Company Engineering Manager and other Senior Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, assigning resources, coordination, supervising, and keeping records of all assigned Company HVAC resources and projects both reactively and proactively.
  • Actively lead the implementation of HSE Policies as well as Quality Compliance by monitoring, reviewing, and ensuring all work is done safely as well as arranging increased supervision for new staff.
  • Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensuring that HSE requirements are adhered to.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice HVAC Project maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance in that department.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing HVAC team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements in all assigned HVAC Projects
  • Maintains accountability of all HVAC-issued materials, assets, and parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, and invoice approvals, and manages the department budget including approval of all OPEX-related expenses within the company range
  • Acts as a quality compliance Officer for ALL assigned Projects, Performing ad-hoc quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely.
  • Developed Company project maintenance program to satisfy all warranty specifications, recognize potential equipment failures, make repair recommendations, and supervise the implementation in liaison with the Engineering manager.
  • Carry out surveys, assist with bid proposals, BoQ formulation, and any other Business development functions as required.
    Perform any other assigned duty per the Company’s CEO.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MUST have a Diploma in HVAC/ Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from a recognized institution.
  • MUST have a MINIMUM 7-YEARS OF proven HVAC background with experience designing, installing, and maintaining complex HVAC systems in hazardous or critical environments such as explosive atmospheres, close environmental control, chemical atmospheres, clean rooms and laboratories, mission-critical areas, and more.
  • Must have a great understanding of electrical principles, standards, and safety measures.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills, Project management skills, Time Management skills, a Team Player, and presentational skills with a particular aptitude for report writing and documentation.
  • Must be able to manage HVAC projects from conception to completion and formulate all resource requirements.
  • Knowledge in Electrical Systems & Driving License is an added advantage
