Migori County is a county in the former Nyanza Province of southwestern Kenya. It is located in western Kenya and borders Homa Bay County, Kisii County, Narok, Tanzania and Lake Victoria to the West. The county also borders Uganda via Migingo Island in Lake Victoria.

Duties and responsibilities

• providing input in the preparation of hydro-meteorological maps and assessment of surface water resource potential
•  installing and maintaining hydro-meteorological stations; and collecting, monitoring and
• Analyzing hydro-meteorological data.
• Plus any other relevant duty assigned from time to time

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Hydrology, Engineering Hydrology, Meteorology, Water Resources and Environmental Management, Hydrogeology, Water Resource Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; and
• Certificate in computer application skills
