ICT Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • System Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for servers, networks, and peripherals. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures to protect ICT systems and data.
  • User Support and Compliance: Provide technical support to end users, manage user accounts and access rights, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Project Management and Documentation: Plan and implement ICT projects with minimal disruption, collaborate with vendors for equipment procurement, and maintain documentation for ICT systems. Stay updated on industry trends, conduct audits for optimization, and train staff on ICT best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 5 years of proven ICT support and administration experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and cybersecurity threats. Proficient in installing and troubleshooting hardware/software components, with experience in ICT project management.
  • Skills and Attributes: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, committed to quality, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
