Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Identify and research potential clients in the shipping and logistics industry.
  • Generate sales leads through various channels, including cold calls, emails, and market research.
  • Maintain a database of leads and contacts.

Client Engagement:

  • Engage with potential clients to understand their logistics and shipping requirements.
  • Provide information about our services, pricing, and solutions to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by offering exceptional customer service.

Sales Presentations and Proposals:

  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to clients’ needs and preferences.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and persuasive proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts in collaboration with the sales team.

Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to assist in achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Provide administrative support for sales activities, including data entry and document preparation.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with clients to answer questions and address concerns.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the marketing and sales teams to improve sales strategies.

Sales Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
  • Track and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in inside sales or a similar role in shipping industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Results-driven and motivated to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team.
  • Knowledge of the shipping and logistics industry is a must
