Intern Trainer Technology Perioperative Theatre

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Teaching and training learners in Perioperative Theatre Technology in accordance with the approved curriculum.
  • Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, training materials and assessment tools.
  • Conducting theoretical, practical and competency-based training.
  • Assessing learners and maintaining accurate training and assessment records.
  • Supervising students during practical sessions, clinical/Industrial attachment and other experiential learning activities.
  • Participating in curriculum implementation, review and development.
  • Guiding and mentoring learners in professional and ethical practice.
  • Participating in departmental meetings, institutional activities, quality assurance and other assigned duties.
  • Supporting linkages and collaborations with health facilities and other relevant industry partners.
  • Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department or authorized officer.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Possess an HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Perioperative Theatre Technology/Operating Theatre Technology/Nursing or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Be registered and/or licensed by the relevant professional regulatory body, where applicable.
  • Demonstrate relevant practical and/or industry experience in perioperative theatre technology.
  • Demonstrate competence in the use of computers and relevant digital Have good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. learning technologies. training.
  • Be able to facilitate both theoretical and practical competency-based Pedagogical/TVET trainer training qualification, such as a recognized Certificate/Diploma in Technical Trainer Education, pedagogy or equivalent will be an added advantage
