Inventory Control Specialist

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management across all Afyanzima clinics.

Responsibilities

Product and Inventory Management

  • Manage and coordinate product lists for new facility launches.
  • Oversee initial stock takes and product valuations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in product details within the Health Management Information System (HMIS).
  • Manage the creation and tracking of new Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).

Inventory Control

  • Coordinate regular stock takes & cycle counts across all facilities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage stock transfers between facilities efficiently.
  • Accurately reflect inventory movements in all management platforms.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage handling of expired and damaged products.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate product disposal in accordance with established SOPs.

Stock Management & Reporting

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain updated SOPs for inventory management.
  • Provide timely and accurate inventory management reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Clinic Transformation, and Operations teams.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven familiarity with pharmaceutical inventory management regulations is a plus!
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and HMIS systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data management tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in healthcare inventory management is a plus!
