The world is rapidly changing and the job market is no exception, with the future of work becoming increasingly dependent on digital skills. Unfortunately, young people are struggling to keep up and are three times more likely to be unemployed compared to other age groups, leading to long-lasting impacts on their careers and financial stability.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
• Supporting accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the expenses and gathering appropriate approvals
• Updating financial records via accounting software
• Monitor and resolve bank issues and discrepancies
• Updating bank transactions in accounting software
• Prepare analysis of accounts requested
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheets accounts
• Monthly closing support, as needed
• Prepare journal entries
• Assist with year-end closings
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Qualifications:

• Must be experienced with Quickbooks
• Experience working with other ERP systems a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• Technical proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles preferred; not required
• Able to work independently and take ownership of deliverables and deadlines
• Extremely detail oriented with exceptional analytical and accounting skills
• Must have strong working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, sorting, v-lookups)
• A demonstrated history of success in developing process and achieving project/task deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
