Job Description

The Green String Network (GSN) is a not-for-profit organization that brings together professionals and experts in the field of peace-building, trauma-informed healing and sustainable economic development. We have decades of collective experience working in Africa

Responsibilities

  • In consultation with and under the supervision of the KQ Project Coordinator and Project
  • Assistant, the Enumerator will be tasked the following:
  • Calling and Surveying of Programme Beneficiaries
  • The KQ Enumerator is responsible for performing over-the-phone baseline and endline surveys of programme participants on the KQ Programme. To do so, they must:
  • Attend a mandatory, compensated 3-day virtual training;
  • Understand all surveys in full including how to correctly administer them to respondents as outlined during training;
  • Uphold all conduct principles and policies, research ethics, and evaluation duties as outlined during training;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
  • Collection and Submission of Beneficiary Data
  • The KQ Enumerator is responsible for keenly recording each and every survey response via the provided tools and submitting all information to GSN. In doing so, they m
  • Ensure all assigned targets are reached according to satisfactory completion and in a timely manner;
  • Communicate promptly and regularly on the progress of activities, including any and all challenges, achievements, or support needed;
  • Provide a full report of tasks completed;
  • Uphold all conduct principles and policies, research ethics, and evaluation duties as outlined during training;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Psychology, Development, Sociology, Community Work, Research, or a related discipline
  • AND At least one (1) year of relevant experience.

  • Excellent research, communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent planning and organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remain self-disciplined
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Swahili
  • Good knowledge of computer applications and data collection platforms, particularly
  • Google Workspace, ODK, and ONA.

PREFERRED

  • Demonstrated research experience and an ability to competently produce sound and intelligible reports
  • Demonstrated experience in community work, particularly in a beneficiary-facing capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to cope with the unique pressures of a fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrated experience in enumeration and/or a call centre
