The position

The Lab Technician is responsible for preparing for and clearing up the laboratory before, after and during science lessons in the Senior School Laboratory.

 Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble and adjust tests and laboratory equipment for experiments and procedures
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and equipment.
• Liaise with Head of Department to orders for chemicals and lab equipment replacements
• Ensure equipment and solutions are in place in good time as per teacher’s specifications.
• Ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and is ready to use for science labs
• Ensuring that the right materials are available for lessons.
• Work closely with students to explain the experiments and demonstrate how to use equipment as necessary
• Proper storing of solutions and stock management

The requirements

• At least a Diploma in a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
