Job Description

Cerba Lancet Kenya Limited formally known as Pathologists Lancet Kenya is part of the Lancet Group of Laboratories, originally founded in South Africa and home-grown in Africa to become a leading pathology laboratory service in the continent. We provide vital diagnostic, monitoring, and screening testing from routine to specialized and esoteric tests through standalone laboratory facilities and in partnership with other institutions/organizations. Our services are offered to doctors and their patients directly through clinics and hospitals, industrial & corporate sectors, insurance, and outreach programs. We also serve clinical trials and research groups and have engaged with governmental and NGO agencies through public-private partnerships. Committed to providing diagnostic excellence, we at Lancet adhere to international criteria set out according to ISO Standard 15189 in all our service points. Our main laboratory is ISO15189 certified and accredited by SANAS since 2010, while our other key branch laboratories are accredited by KENAS.

Summary

The Laboratory Manager will be in charge of overseeing all the laboratory operations including analysis of laboratory samples in order to provide results for medical practitioners to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases. They will also assist the Regional Manager with supervision of staff and functions as per delegated responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Higher National Diploma / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board;
  • Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
  • 3-5 years working experience in a supervisory position or at least 5 years serving as a lab technologists.
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
