Machakos County, nicknamed ‘Macha,’ was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight (8) constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga, Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carrying out singular and distance measurements.
• Computation for medium- and high density topographical. general engineering. sub-divisional schemes, medium area cadastral.
• Photo control surveys.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –

• Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Surveying and photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geomatic Engineering, Technology in Geomatics, Technology in Geo- informatics, Geo-spatial Engineering, Philosophy in Technology (Survey) from a recognized institution
• A minimum experience of three (3) years in this field.
• Certificate in Computer applications
