Legal Assistant

The Legal Assistant will support the processing phase of real estate closings, acting as a key liaison between the opener and the closer. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth and compliant transactions. While the position is not client-facing at this time, it may evolve into a client-facing role in the future.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Review and organize legal documents related to real estate closings.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, lenders, and agents to gather required information.
  • Prepare and verify closing statements and legal forms.
  • Track deadlines and follow up on pending documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and update transaction status in internal systems.
  • Assist the closer with final document preparation and delivery.
  • Participate in quarterly performance reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant.
  • Prior experience working with a title company.
  • Proficiency in Qualia software (preferred).
  • Familiarity with U.S. real estate closing procedures and legal terminology.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
