You will also have the opportunity to work closely with hardware vendors and be part of shaping the future of Raspberry Pi for Linux and Ubuntu.

Location: This is a remote work role and can be held in theĀ EMEA region.

What your day will look like

  • Work with a highly technical team to define and shape the future of Raspberry Pi platform support for Ubuntu.
  • Write high-quality code, create new features, and contribute upstream.

  • Debug issues and produce high-quality fixes
  • Review code produced by other engineers
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on solutions
  • Work with teams focused on Ubuntu for server, desktop, IoT and clouds
  • Work from home with global travel 2 to 4 weeks a year for internal and external events

What we are looking for in you

  • Development experience on Raspberry Pi
  • Development experience with early boot software like TF-A, OP-TEE, U-Boot, GRUB, or the Linux kernel.
  • A love of technology and working with brilliant people
  • Motivated, curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable
  • A long-time Linux user with broad interests in the future of Linux
  • Experience or interest in learning how to package software for Debian and Ubuntu
  • Enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated
  • Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long

Additional skills that you might also bring

  • Experience with Debian/Ubuntu-based operating systems
  • Good understanding of Debian packaging and snaps would also be a considerable advantage.
