The Role:

Flutterwave is looking for a Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships (“GEPP”) [Region], Manager who will oversee the business operations of the region and ensure all activities are concluded in the designated markets in line with best practices and regulatory standards

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the GEPP [Country], Manager who will develop country specific expansion strategies in setting up local entities and all required documentation
  • Develop Flutterwave’s strategic expansion roadmap within assigned region
  • Oversee and secure all necessary regulatory licenses, permits, and approvals required for the designated entity
  • Ensure the appropriate transition of all specialized items such as licensing renewals, subsequent tax filings, etc are transitioned to the appropriate central teams to ensure continuity.
  • Identify and locate potential partnerships in the selected markets to hand off to the project optimization team.
  • Ensure product readiness and product alignment for continuous fit to market
  • Ensure effective management of relationships with key partners, customers, and accounts.
  • Manage and oversee all local company expenses
  • Managing staff within region, ensuring KPIs are in alignment with overall strategic goals
  • Any other duties that may be assigned

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of regional working experience, experience in payments a plus
  • In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of the organization’s strategy, funds flows, and business, product, and service offerings
  • Strong relationships and contacts with payment partners (e.g., card networks, payment processors, banks, and mobile network operators)
  • Proven experience leading regional operations
  • Ability to build strategic executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders
  • Demonstrated passion for startups and new technology businesses
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms
  • Excellent networking and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication at all levels (verbal and written)
  • Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Excellent project management skills
