Job Description

In 2008, the Government of Kenya approved the creation of Konza Technology City as a flagship Kenya Vision 2030 project. Vision 2030 aims to create a globally competitive and prosperous nation with a high quality of life by 2030

Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is to oversee development and implementation of integrated Marketing and Corporate communications strategies to improve the global competitiveness, positioning and economic sustainability of Konza Technopolis that will lead to the achievement of business growth as envisioned in the Corporate strategy.

Reporting Mechanism – Reports to the Chief Manger, Business Development & Innovation

Job Specification Duties and responsibilities

  • Manages marketing and brand strategies, positioning, tracking and measuring the performance to inform future activity.
  • Monitors and Measures marketing effectiveness by identifying appropriate metrics.
  • Develops and manages appropriate channels and partners to meet changing customer needs and business goals
  • Manages and disseminates content in all the organizations touch points
  • Conducts customer and marketing research
  • Contributes and determines competitive positioning of Konza Technopolis
  • Implements marketing programs to deliver value and attract and retain Investors and investment
  • Influences digital strategy within the Authority and Leads the implementation of digitally enhanced marketing strategy
  • Advises KOTDA clients on the KOTDA program incentives, rules and regulations.
  • Creates Authority wide customer orientation including change management

Person Specification For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –

  • A minimum period of ten (10) years relevant work experience three (3) years of which should be in a management position;
  • Master’s degree in social sciences, Marketing, Business administration,
  • Business Management, communication or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Marketing, Business administration, Business Management, communication or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Professional qualification and membership to a professional body where applicable;
  • Management course from a recognized institution;
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance results; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
