Overall Purpose of the Position

Responsible for continuous operational processes improvement by driving the manufacturing excellence vision and improve the performance on the various value drivers within the organization (Operational Efficiency, Productivity, Root Cause Analysis, 6S & 5K).

Key Performance Areas

• Drive various projects with the Project Teams to improve critical manufacturing and production processes and drive financial results through sustainable cost reduction
• Perform regular data analysis of key metrics, look for improvement opportunities, and gather feedback from stakeholders.
• Gathering Manufacturing Excellence information from various sources and capturing the information into databases.
• Establish and maintain performance metrics to track program success.
• Develop common standards and working methods for the plant as a whole to increase overall synergy.
• Take up 6S & 5K initiatives for plant performance and safety.
• Guide Teams on Root Cause Analysis – Brain storming, trouble shooting, root cause identification
• Ensures timely implementation of actions resulting from RCAs/investigations, in cooperation with production, maintenance and quality Teams.
• Share knowledge and best practices with process line Teams.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and organize for performance excellence meetings and rewards.
• Perform other duties on process improvements as will be guided by the Manufacturing Excellence Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical or Process Improvement field / Manufacturing from a recognized University
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience in a Technical Operations – Production processes, Quality Assurance in a busy Manufacturing industry
• Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

Additional/specific work requirements:

• Excellent Knowledge in Technical field / terms.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques, e.g. leading Kaizen, DMAIC, Continuous improvement, Six Sigma, Process / Value stream mapping, FMEA, Fish Bone, Mind Mapping.
• Hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs
• Good understanding of industrial standards and risk management practices
