Purpose of the position.

The Marketing & Communication Executive responsibilities include creative work, brand management, distributing promotional material, responding to customers’ queries and comments on social media and networking during marketing events.

Overall Responsibilities:

Key job tasks

  1. Create marketing and communication plans geared toward the targeted audience for each key product within portfolio, in line with strategy and targets and within budget.
  2. Assist in Developing and reviewing Marketing and Communications Strategy.
  3. Work with the Commercial Manager to develop new ideas for reaching end user markets using the latest in electronic technologies.
  4. Work with the contracted professional to develop and produce materials of visual impact and within the brand guidelines.
  5. Communicate to the Commercial team about new innovations and how they can be used to leverage marketing efforts.
  6. Collaborate with key stakeholders during product campaign.
  7. Organize and oversee advertising campaigns through social media, exhibitions, promotional events and main stream media.
  8. Copy writing of articles, marketing materials for product and segment centric messaging etc.
  9. Liaison with media and publishers as necessary to drive the Company’s communication agenda and ensuring that all content is appropriate.
  10. Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness competition assess viability of potential new products and to measure success of recent campaigns.
  11. Managing the Company’s digital assets – website + Social Media tools to enhance audience engagement.
  12. Create and implement marketing communications for magazines from pre-publication to post-publication.
  13. Where appropriate, attend key conferences to manage booth (iWayAfrica stand) do customer interviews and focus groups.
  14. Perform market research Generate leads for products and services.
  15. Driving and creating content of marketing materials which includes:
    1. Company Profile.
    2. Brochures.
    3. Case studies.
    4. Power Point Presentations.
    5. Videos and animations
    6. Press releases
    7. Blogs
    8. Newsletters
    9. Website, social media content.

Minimum Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant discipline, CIM Diploma is an added advantage.
  2. 3 years of Proven experience as a marketing executive or a similar role with track record in sales.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and Marketing software (CRM).
  4. Excellent written and communication and people skills.
  5. Creativity and commercial awareness.
  6. Good understanding of market research techniques.
  7. Familiarity with social media and web analytics.
  8. Content creation and digital marketing skills.
  9. Experience in an agency dealing with below the line and above the line marketing concepts.
  10. Analytical skills and ability to work with numbers.
