Ndovu is a micro-investment platform that provides easy access to financial markets including Africa. Ndovu digitizes the investing process, providing access to global markets whilst providing advice all through your phone. The co-founders have 44 years of combined experience in building and scaling technology products, launching fintech products, and deep investment expertise in financial markets. Summary

  • Your mission is to effectively develop and deliver a customer-centric communication experience that  articulates ndovu’s value and positive impact on our customers’ daily lives from serving their immediate  financial needs to helping develop long-term healthy financial habits.
  • You will build an enduring relationship with customers that drives awareness, conversion, engagement,  retention, and loyalty. As a key member of the Ndovu Marketing team, you will be responsible for helping  define and deliver an exceptional customer experience grounded in a deep understanding of our  customers’ lives and the markets they operate in. The role will be fully responsible for all communications  with our Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda customers.

 What You’ll Do: 

  • Craft and execute comprehensive messaging and go-to-market strategies to drive user acquisition,  ensuring alignment with clearly defined success metrics.
  • Lead new user acquisition initiatives spanning virality, educational/content campaigns, paid  advertising, organic acquisition (including SEO optimization), referrals, PR, and channel selection.
  • Develop and oversee end-to-end customer communication campaigns aimed at driving  measurable growth across conversion, engagement, and retention metrics.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for messaging enhancements, devise and conduct experiments  to test hypotheses, analyze results, and iterate strategies as necessary.
  • Design and implement robust onboarding and retention marketing processes, including user  activation, segmentation, weekly active user growth, and lifecycle messaging engagement via  SMS/email.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to generate high-quality leads, optimize sales  conversations, and effectively articulate product value to customers throughout their lifecycle.
  • Define user segments and tailor campaigns to resonate with key customer personas, driving increased engagement and loyalty.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of Ndovu’s target audience, market opportunity, and competitive landscape in Kenya.
  • Collect and analyze growth data from various sources, including internal tooling, customer usage data, analytics pipelines, and experimentation platforms.

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in growth position at a start up, with a track record of building and scaling customer acquistion, using data driven marketing campaigns.
  • Proven ability to develop go-to-market plans for products and drive meaningful business results.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with distributed teams.
  • Proficient in modern analytics tools, with strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and possesses a can-do attitude.
  • Understanding of East African financial markets and investments is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience launching and scaling products for developing markets is preferred.
  • Competency in using marketing CRM systems is preferred
