Job Description

Ilara Health brings accurate and affordable diagnostics to the 500 million people in Africa who today struggle to access a simple blood test. We distribute low-cost, AI-powered diagnostic devices directly to primary care doctors in peri-urban and rural clinics, where the availability of common diagnostics is very poor.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Marketing and Patient Experience to join our Clinic Transformation team at Ilara Health, who is working on building the AfyaNzima growing network of healthcare facilities. In this role, you will focus on enhancing brand awareness of Ilara Health’s AfyaNzima brand and together with pushing awareness of the Clinics part of Ilaras network. Simultaneously, you will devise innovative strategies to boost patient flow to Ilara’s network of clinics. As the Manager of Marketing and Patient Experience, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare in Africa.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing management experience.
  • Proven experience in:
    • Developing a strategy for brand awareness and recognition.
    • Understanding communication and promotion channels in the service industry, preferably in the healthcare sector.
    • Maintaining a portfolio of successful marketing and communication work in the service industry, preferably in the healthcare sector.
    • Hands-on implementation of marketing campaigns in the service industry
    • Utilizing marketing tools to capitalize on existing services and to create new services as marketing tools to drive business growth
    • Using engagement data to inform marketing activities and strategies
    • Implementing new marketing guidelines and providing advice to colleagues and partners
    • Seeking out opportunities to enhance the brand profile
    • Working in a high-paced environment, with a strong preference for prior experience in a startup setting

Who You Are:

  • Experience Managing Teams
  • Experience in brand strategy and deployment, marketing and communications in the healthcare space
  • Capable of performing tasks independently.
  • Project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the low to middle-low income demographic in Africa (preferably, Kenya) and the ability to effectively communicate information to this audience.
  • Proficiency in both digital and traditional marketing channels.
