Mathematics, Physics Teacher – Junior Secondary School

Role Details:

  • Ensure coverage of the syllabus, quality of teaching and effectiveness of learning outcomes.
  • Coordinate various co-curricular activities and school-based events in area assigned.
  • Enforce rules for behavior, behavior rectification, school policies and procedures to maintain order among students.
  • Build and maintain excellent communication and effective working relationships with parents, guardians, and sponsors.
  • Promote Christ-likeness within the school through activities including but not limited to regular devotional and prayer sessions.
  • Attend professional meetings and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Keep relevant school records to the required standards as per work demands.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor from time to time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Education, B.Ed Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in Kenya;
  • 2 years’ work experience; CBC-compliant; a born again Christian, TSClicensed.
  • Competent in handling any combination of the highlighted subject combinations.
  • Be conversant and compliant with Kenyan education systems, standards, trends, the Children’s Act, teachers’ code of ethics, child protection policies, regulations, rights, relevant government policy and legislation.
  • An understanding of the social dynamics of the community and the general geographical area is a distinct advantage.
