  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; Statistics, Computer Science or Mathematics preferred
  • 3+ years of work experience
  • Technical skills with analytical tools, methodologies and deisgns
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization & data infrastructure preferred
  • Innovative thinker paired with strong execution skills
  • Strong communication skills to build consensus and alignment across teams with different goals, functions and initiatives
  • Professional with strong work ethic
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills

Who You’ll Work With

You will work in our Nairobi office and will report to the CEO of Generation Kenya.

Generation is the first program of Generation Incorporated a non-profit founded by McKinsey & Company, with the aim of training and employing 1 million youth in 5 years. Generation is active in 5 countries to date – USA, Kenya, Spain, Mexico and India and is expanding to 3 more countries in 2018.

The data and digital team’s mission is to ensure the organization has the products they need to measure impact and to empower every employee at Generation to make data-informed decisions.
What You’ll Do

You will lead and build the strategy, define requirements and drive execution of all Generation Kenya data and drive the overall ROI strategy for both internal and external stakeholders.

In this role you will craft Generation Kenya’s overall vision for how we use technology and data to inform decisions and develop a strategy and product roadmap to making the vision a reality. You’ll foster a cultureof data informed decision making and interface closely with stakeholders in the global data team, operations, curriculum, business development and finance to understand their diverse use of cases with data and gaps in existing products.

Additionally, you will preempt problems in the Generation program at all phases (mobilization, training and placement) using outputs from the data and use the insights to inform program strategy.
