Responsibility;

• Identify and propose innovative solutions for various opportunities to upscale output and new fields of venturing;
• Have a futuristic approach for mechanization, identifying opportunities for the company and the processes to venture in;
• Obtain data, analyse the data and make recommendation of improving mechanization of operations and solving manufacturing-related problems;
• Ensure all machines are working and performance is at per;
• Ensure proper planning and availability of materials needed for production and processes;
• Identify problems or works and determine their worth or impact on the overall production and quality;
• Plan and ensure proper maintenance of equipment in production, materials. utilities and maintenance of the entire facility machines;
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment documentation. (Manuals and operating instructions);
• Ensure proper Installation, qualification and calibration of equipment and materials.
• Ensure day to day monitoring of the performance and requirements for the maintenance, coordination and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing production or process flow;
• Ensure proper monitoring of power and fuel consumption vs, production;
• Ensure proper preparation of operational procedures and maintenance work instructions;
• Assess training needs for personnel and give necessary training as required;
• Preparation and control of department budget and expenditures.

Qualifications;

• BSc Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering;
• At least 5 to 8 years proven experience in the manufacturing industry;
• Experience in design and programming(coding) an added advantage;
• Proven skills in problem saving, innovations, research and implementation of ideas;
• Excellent report writing skills is a must with proper documentation of processes and output;
• Good collaborative, time management and coordination skills;
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
• Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other)
• Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, Poromechanical or similar)
