Duties And Responsibilities

• Receiving of patients and customer care services in the laboratory
• Performing specimen collection and prompt reception of all specimen from clinics, ward and referral facilities.
• Performing daily maintenance of all laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Performing specimen storage and maintain updated specimen logs.
• Performing analysis of specimen.
• Preparation of laboratory reagents, media and standards operating procedures
• Daily maintenance of laboratory equipment and machines
• Monitoring of laboratory commodity suppliers
• Reporting, recording, verification, dispatch and maintaining confidentiality of client results
• Sourcing and maintaining of hospital blood bank
• Ensuring of general cleanliness of laboratory working areas and maintaining a cleaning log.
• Ensuring quality assurance and infection prevention control
• Carrying out any other duties assigned by the medical director and lab manager
