Job Description

Job Purpose

The job holder will be responsible for overseeing education and training activities of the Sacco. He/she will be responsible for selecting appropriate instructional methods, defining time frames, preparing training and other communication materials in physical and digital formats.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing the educational programs/courses, instructional materials and learning aids that will be used by the Sacco to enrich participants’ knowledge of being a member.
  • Researching educational materials and in consultation with relevant stakeholders, ensure the appropriate breadth and depth of content, aligned with the desired learning outcomes is taught.
  • Collecting, analysing, and segmenting member data and based on characteristics, develop curriculum that address the knowledge needs leading to overall improvement of their welfare as members.
  • Evaluating the curriculum after a period of time and updating accordingly in order to keep the content relevant.
  • Collecting and analysing feedback from members on the effectiveness of Sacco Education programs
  • Implementing Education mandate of the Sacco in compliance with the By- Laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and liaising with external facilitators in developing and delivery of the training content.
  • Promoting collaboration, partnerships and relationships between the Sacco and its Members.
  • Supporting the development of training budgets and keeping track of the training costs.
  • Aligning the course design with digital resources, including remote learning technology such as conference calls, shared documents, and online assessments
  • Any other duty assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree BSc/BA in administration/statistics, Public Relations & Communication and or HR.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, Customer Service, HR or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili (verbal and written), confident, good presentation and with interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle data -collection, review, analysis, and presentation.
  • Inquisitive personality driven by curiosity and the desire to learn and share knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms
  • Knowledge and passion for both learning and training.
