Facilitate the execution and delivery of East Africa consumer (farmer) and trade market strategy by providing marketing services within the approved budget with an objective of growing the market share to achieving set business goals and also manage execution of country plans.


  • Provide a high level of marketing services to facilitate Commercial strategy implementation in assigned region.
  • Define and implement the annual marketing plan and local tactical plans for each country to ensure corporate objectives are achieved.
  • Oversee all market activities to ensure they are in line with brand strategy and corporate objectives.
  • Provide to the region the necessary marketing tools to achieve their objective.
  • Give the necessary programs to the people in the field: salesman and agronomic advisors to access to the farmers.
  • Evaluate the success of each campaign and the impact in the EBIT
  • Give the right tools to the Commercial Organization to make a good forecast exercise.
  • Development, implementation and tracking of commercial policy, promotional activity and SG&A project spend.
  • Provides key input and recommendations to budget and LRP processes.
  • Is responsible for market intelligence, providing recommendations based on analysis of market information, market trends and market research.
  • Develops and ensures timely progress against marketing cycle.
  • Market Analysis
  • Outline the market opportunity in specific segments
  • Cooperate closely with commercial Leads and Pricing Lead
  • Develop product and market launch and phase-out plans
  • Contribute to Product Positioning decisions
  • Planning and Participation in Crop Tours and regular trials/ demo visits for both crops to ensure practical experience with our portfolio
  • Build relations with external agencies to ensure first class service levels to agreed budgets
  • Establish good relations with internal contacts
  • Champion innovation in products and processes in order to achieve competitive advantage

Required Education :

University degree, preferably in business ,marketing, or management , but not a must (or related fields),

Business or marketing and/or business post graduate education (MBA) preferred.

Required Work Experience:

Minimum 8 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or commercial lead roles.

Experience in agricultural business is a plus.

Technical skills:

Fluent in English (oral and written).

Good knowledge of IT tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint…).

Experience in brand management, business management, trade and consumer insights, project management, marketing and sales.

Knowledge of agricultural business is a plus.

Personal skills:

Highly commercially driven

Innovation, creativity as well as clear strategic vision.

Ability to think strategically with strong emphasis on implementation

People leadership to lead by influencing key stakeholders inside and outside the organization

Highly results oriented

Ability to work with agency to develop and execute ATL and BTL plans.

Ability to drive strategic projects and drive process improvements

Able to work across multiple cultures and countries effectively.

Strong communication and presentation skills

Able to develop tight internal and external network
