Job Description

Ilara Health brings accurate and affordable diagnostics to the 500 million people in Africa who today struggle to access a simple blood test. We distribute low-cost, AI-powered diagnostic devices directly to primary care doctors in peri-urban and rural clinics, where the availability of common diagnostics is very poor

About the Role

As a Nurse at Ilara Health Clinics, you’ll be at the forefront of providing comprehensive healthcare services to our community. Your role involves delivering high-quality nursing care across a variety of patient needs, ensuring their well-being and promoting health education.

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Assess, triage, and provide assistance during procedures, including deliveries, immunizations, and minor procedures as required.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in the electronic medical records system (EMR) and ensure proper follow-up and reporting of complications.

Facility Management:

  • Oversee emergency preparedness, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor supply usage and ensure adequate stock levels.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Foster effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
  • Participate in clinic organization and handover processes, ensuring proper information transfer between shifts.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Compile and submit reports, maintain confidentiality, and analyze activity trends.
  • Collect client feedback and promptly refer when necessary.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and reinforce clinic protocols, including adherence to Ilara Health protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support team members in achieving performance targets..

Requirements

  • Nursing training and qualifications as Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) /Kenya Registered Nurse (KRN) /Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • MUST have post basic training in Kenya in Midwifery
  • MUST be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a current licence.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Management training will be an added advantage
