Job Description

AIC Kijabe as is known today was established in 1915 as a small outpatient clinic within the grounds of the Rift Valley Academy and was originally named Theodora Hospital. The hospital celebrated its centenary in May 2015 and is a multi-specialty facility currently with a bed capacity of 363, serving patients from all over Kenya and other African countries. KH is a faith-based hospital sponsored by the Africa Inland Church, Kenya, and has recently been classified as a level 6BNational Tertiary Teaching and Referral Hospital. The hospital’s mission is to “Glorify God through compassionate health care provision, excellent training and spiritual ministry in Christ Jesus.” The hospital continues to experience tremendous growth and change over the years. It employs over 900 staff and strives to balance Kenyan and missionary consultants. Missionary doctors play a role in making patients’ fees affordable.

  • Reporting to the Head of  Nutrition Department, the holder of the position will glorify God by  providing optimal nutritional care to patients.

 Applicants Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes

  • Degree or Diploma in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics or any other related field.
  • Must demonstrate ability to solve problems by applying relevant nutrition knowledge.
  • Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages.
  • Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Must demonstrate ability to multitask.
  • Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teams.
  • An honest person full of integrity in personal conduct and handling of job responsibilities.
  • Must be aligned to the mission and vision of AIC Kijabe hospital.
