1. Programme Management Assistant

Responsibilities

1. Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation work of the Unit; monitors status of programme/project proposals and receipt of relevant documentation for review and approval.
2. Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific programmes/project and related topics or issues.
3. Reviews project documents, especially cost plans/budgets, for completeness and compliance with relevant rules and procedures prior to submission for final approval and signature; identifies inconsistencies; distributes project documents to relevant parties upon approval.

2. Programme Management Officer

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects, etc.; monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation; reviews relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; identifies and tracks follow-up actions.
• Performs assignments, in collaboration with clients, by planning facilitating workshops, through other interactive sessions and assisting in developing the action plan the client will use to manage the change.

3. Financial Management Officer

Responsibilities

Medium-term plan:
•Review, analyse and finalize the preparation of the medium-term plan and its revisions on the basis of departmental submissions, taking into account recommendations and decisions of specialized intergovernmental bodies.
•Provide substantive support to relevant intergovernmental and expert bodies in their review of the medium-term plan and its revisions; secures approval from the General Assembly.
•Ensure legislative mandates are accurately translated into program budgets.

4. Programme Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation work for, typically, a medium-size and complex component of the departmental programme/project initiatives; monitors status of programme/project proposals and receipt of relevant documentation for review and approval.
• Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific programmes/project and related topics or issues.
• Reviews budget revisions; verifies availability of funds; ensures necessary approval and entry in computerized budget system.
• Compiles, summarizes and enters data on project delivery; drafts related status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, budget overruns, etc., and brings to the attention of management.
